ADD RECIPE

Q: What is the maximum number of characters allowed in the recipe title/subtitle?

The maximum number is 50.

Q: What is a recipe subtitle?

A subtitle is optional and is just another name for the recipe.

Q: What are recipe parts?

Recipe parts are the different parts a recipe may have, such as cake and frosting. Each part will have its own ingredients list; instructions for each part can be separate or combined. You may want to use combined instructions for recipes such as a layered salad; ingredients are listed separately, but there is only one set of instructions explaining the preparation of each layer.

Q: How do I change the number of parts in a recipe?

Based on where you want to add a recipe part, click on "Add a Part" located to the right of the Recipe Part box. To delete a part, click on the "x" to the right of the Part Title you wish to delete.

Q: What is the maximum number of ingredients for a recipe?

The maximum number is 30 per recipe part.

Q: How do I add more ingredients?

Press enter in the last recipe field to add more ingredients.

Q: How do I move ingredients in the list?

Click on the crossed arrows at the end of an ingredient line then drag and drop it to the desired position.

Q: Can I copy and paste ingredients or instructions from Microsoft Word or other documents into recipe fields?

Do not copy and paste. Any special formatting, symbols, and characters not found on a standard keyboard may be lost and default to other characters. The online proof may appear correct, but once we convert recipes into your chosen recipe format, those symbols or special characters may not appear. Ingredients and all directions should be keystroked into the appropriate fields. When you receive your proof, check all recipes to ensure they appear accurately. Any errors not marked in the proof or not corrected on a digital proof are the customer's responsibility, and Morris Press Cookbooks cannot be held responsible.

Q: How do I enter the degree symbol (°)?

Use "Shift+6" to create the caret symbol (^). The character will be converted to a degree symbol on the recipe preview and the proof.

Q: What is the maximum number of characters allowed in a Recipe Note?

The maximum number is 375.
